Melissa A. Kubai

Melissa A. Kubai #1

Melissa A. Kubai, DVM, Ms, Diplomate ACVO, is a board-certified ophthalmologist in Tucson.

Dr. Kubai was born and raised in Wisconsin and attended veterinary school in Wisconsin. She is hard working, down to earth, caring, friendly and passionate about veterinary ophthalmology in a variety of species (not just cats and dogs!).

She has many interests including hiking, soccer, and playing the violin and piano. She excelled in academic, athletic and language arts: she was co-captain of the Ripon College Women’s Varsity soccer team; she majored in German and Biology in school and received numerous scholarships for her studies over the years.

Originally thinking that she was destined for university practice, Dr. Kubai was so impressed by the hospital facility, equipment, teaching opportunities and philosophy of practice at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson, (not to mention the mild Arizona winters) she signed on to join our staff!
