What are the criteria for my pet to be a blood donor?
Dogs:
- 60 pounds or more in body weight
- 1 to 7 years of age, depending upon breed
- Good health
- Good disposition
- Available for a minimum of 4 donations per year
Cats:
- 10 pounds or over in body weight
- 1 to 8 years of age
- Strictly indoor only cats
- Good health
- Good disposition
- Available for a minimum of 4 donations per year
