Why would my cat or dog need a blood transfusion?
Cats and dogs, like people, may need a blood transfusion. Every month we see cat and dogs that need blood because they have been hit by a car, have a blood clotting problem, develop stomach ulcers or have immune system disorders that lead to blood cell destruction. To meet this need, we have developed a blood donor program.
